Benefits for people with disabilities and reduced working capacity

Degrees of disability are established and state benefits for people with disabilities are paid by the National Social Insurance Board.

Disabilities are divided into three categories: moderate, severe, and profound disabilities The degree of disability is assessed by the National Social Insurance Board in cooperation with medical experts.

The state pays social benefits to persons with disabilities with the goal of ensuring the independent coping of the person and equal opportunities, as well as the partial compensation of additional expenses resulting from the disability.
