The Ministry of Social Affairs registers training institutions in accordance with the procedure for occupational health and safety training. Institutions carrying out the following courses are registered:
- training of working environment representatives and members of working environment councils;
- training of working environment specialists; and
- training of company first aid officers.
In order to be registered as a training institution the following documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs:
- an application indicating the name of the training institution, the address and contact details of the seat of operation of the institution, study programmes (topics and volume), the names and contact details of lecturers and a list of the subjects taught by each lecturer as part of the study programmes and a list of the materials used on the courses (study literature, first aid kits and dummies etc);
- copies of documents evidencing the qualifications of lecturers e.g. diplomas, summaries of academic results and training certificates (the documents showing that lecturers are qualified to teach the subject or topic to be covered by them in the study programmes). Declarations by the lecturers that they agree to teach the subjects or topics appointed to them on the courses provided by the training institutions must be attached to the copies of these documents; and
- an example of the certificate issued by the training institution. The certificate must indicate the name and registration number of the institute, the name of the person who took the course, the date (duration) of the course, the name of the study programme, the date of issue of the certificate and the names of the individuals who issued the certificate.
A training institution is registered, as a rule, within two weeks of receipt of these documents. Additional documents may be requested if needed.
