Cancer Control Steering Group

The goal of the Cancer Control Steering Group is to monitor the implementation of the objectives of the Estonian Cancer Control Plan 2021-2030, considering the priority and feasibility of the activities and their impact on the epidemiological situation of cancer and cancer treatment.

The Steering Group advises the Ministry of Social Affairs on the central management, strategic planning, and implementation of the Estonian Cancer Control Plan’s activities.New implementation activities are approved, and the effectiveness of ongoing activities is evaluated at least once a year.

In their proposals and decisions, the members of the Steering Group consider the following principles: the prioritization of activities under the Cancer Control Plan, the cost-effectiveness and/or feasibility of the activities, the impact of the activities on the target group, and the state budget possibilities.
